This is the Environment Agency's plan for Manor Farm Park and Weoley Hill Park https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/west-midlands/bourn-and-lower-rea-flood-risk-management-scheme/
Since this was announced, the message from local residents has been clear; people are furious about the proposed plans to our local green spaces and the lack of communication about the huge level of works being carried out.
I was really pleased to attend the meeting and hear the views of local people. Along with Miranda & Jamie - Your Local Councillors for Weoley & Selly Oak, I’ll continue making your views clear to the Environment Agency, BVT and Birmingham City Council.

Finally, huge thanks to the fantastic local volunteers who arranged the public meeting - and to those of you who attended and shared your views.
Please do not let this happen. I understand it is in respect of new building work in the city, surely the developers need to undertake sufficient drainage works there, instead of taking our green spaces.
